Preparation for Boki Nachbar basketball camp continues

Boki and his staff will be very active in month of July, when they get ready to host another Boki Nachbar Basketball Camp. Head coach of the camp, Grega Nachbar is already working to assemble all the coaches. Rajko Rituper (BC Nazarje), Miha Čmer (BC Zlatorog) and Kevin Kositz (Brose Baskets Bamberg) have already confirmed participation.

Barcelona sweeps the series against Panathinaikos

In round 9 in Euroleague TOP 16, FC Barcelona defeated Panathinaikos in Athens and swept the season series 4:0. Final score was 77:81. Justin Doellman was top scorer with 21 points, while Boki remained scoreless in 6 minutes of action.

In round 10 Barcelona faces Maccabi Tel Aviv at home to battle for the 2nd spot in group.

Tibor Pleiss had a solid game with 15 points in 14 minutes.

Barcelona rolls their way into the semis, faces Unicaja

FC Barcelona defeated Valencia 85:80 in the Spanish cup quarterfinals. Alex Abrines was top scorer with 16 points, Mario Hezonja and Tomas Satoransky scored 13. Boki played 13 minutes but did not score any points.  Next opponent for Barcelona will be Unicaja Malaga. Semi-final match will start tonight at 18.00 CET.

The winner of the match will face Real Madrid or Fiatc Joventut.

Boki and Tomas lead Barcelona past Galatasaray

FC Barcelona improved to 4-3 in the Top 16 by downing Galatasaray Liv Hospital Istanbul 82:70 at home on Thursday. Barcelona remained unbeaten in Group E at Palau Blaugrana, while Galatasaray dropped to 2-5. Tomas Satoransky paced the winners with 17 points while Boki added 15. 

Barcelona will face Alba Berlin in round 8.

The Detalis #005: Angelo Vermeulen

Angelo Vermeulen is Belgian visual artist, whose work crosses over to biology and technology. As a leader of many successful international projects, which are connected to space travel, he spent four months on the flanks of the Mauna Loa Volcano in Hawaii, where he was crew commander of a four-month Mars simulation mission. He talked about his work and his experiences and also explained which space missions are realistic and which are not. When he told Boki and Anže what could future spaceships use as radiation shield, they were left speechless.

Hezonja shines as Barça crushes Manresa

In round 19 of Spanish ACB league FC Barcelona defeated La Bruixa D'or Manresa 101:53. Mario Hezonja was the leading scorer for Catalans as he made all of his 8 three point attempts and finished with 24 points. Boki played 18 minutes and scored 5 points along with 3 rebounds and 1 assist. Barca is currently ranked 5th with 13 wins and 6 losses. Check out the highlights of the game.

Tomic, Nachbar lead Barcelona past Zalgiris

FC Barcelona improved to 3-2 in Top 16 Group E by downing Zalgiris Kaunas 89-72 at home on Firday. Barcelona grabbed its third win in Top 16 home games, while Zalgiris droped to 1-4. Ante Tomic led the winners with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists while Bostjan Nachbar added 15 points and 2 rebounds.

Basketball fans can expect another "el classico" in round 6 of TOP 16, when Barcelona travels to Madrid.

Laboral Kutxa defeats Barcelona

In round 18 of Spanish ACB league FC Barcelona lost on the road against Laboral Kutxa 103:94. Boki played 5 minutes and scored 2 points. Barcelona is currently ranked 5th in Spanish league with 12 wins and 6 losses.

Boki and his teammates will play next Euroleague game this Friday at home against Zalgiris.

Barcelona has a lot of work to do, to improve their current position in ACB league.

Barcelona downed by Alba in TOP 16 opener

ALBA Berlin took charge in the middle two quarters to beat FC Barcelona 80-70 on Friday night in both teams’ Top 16 opener at o2 World in the German capital. Reggie Redding, Jamel McLean and Leon Radosevic scored 16 points apiece to pace the hosts. The game appeared to be headed in Barcelona’s favor after the visitors started with 10 straight points and led by 14 midway through the opening quarter. But ALBA fought back with a 9-0 run in the second and held Barcelona to just 8 points in the third in building a double-digit advantage of its own, which the visitors never recovered from. Boki played only 5 minutes and didn't score any points.

Barcelona had no answers for Alba in 2nd half.

Ending the year with defeat

FC Barcelona fell to defeat away at Obradoiro in an even encounter that was decided in the final quarter thanks to the home side’s precision shooting from the outside. Final score was 79:67. Barça end the year in second place in the table with 10 victories from 14 games, behind leaders Unicaja but ahead of third placed Real Madrid. 

Barcelona finished year 2014 with 10 wins and 4 losses in Spanish ACB league.

FC Barcelona wins the "el classico"

In round 13 of the Spanish ACB league FC Barcelona won at home against Real Madrid 76:68. Barcelona was leading for the majority of the game and deserved to win at the end. Catalans were playing without 4 players (Nachbar, Navarro, Oleson and Abrines) due to injury, but got some help from new addition to the team, Edwin Jackson.

3rd loss in Spanish ACB league

FC Barcelona lost on the road to Estudiantes in a lively affair that was up in the air until the end. Barcelona was leading as much as 15 points in the 1st half, but things really started to heat up down the stretch. Home team was able to hit key free throws when it mattered most and came away victorious. Final score was 102:96. Boki played 10 minutes but wasn't able to produce any points. Barcelona wins in Athens

In the last round of Turkish Euroleague, FC Barcelona won in Athens against Panathinaikos 67:80 and finished with 9-1 record, which puts them in 1st place of Group C. Boki played 14 minutes and had 7 points, along with 3 rebounds.

Barcelona and Panathinaikos will play in Group E in TOP 16 and will face tough opponents including such as Real Madrid, Maccabi, Red Star, Zalgiris, Galatasaray and Alba Berlin. TOP 16 begins on January 2nd.

Catalans will face quality opponents TOP 16.

Barcelona suffers first loss in Turkish Euroleague

In a great battle between Turkish Airlines Euroleague powerhouses in Group C, Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul needed overtime to down previously undefeated FC Barcelona 89-91 on the road on Thursday. Fenerbahce improved to 7-2 in Group C while Barcelona dropped to 8-1. Marcelino Huertas was top scorer for Barcelona, who finished with 25 points. Boki played 5 minutes and had 3 rebounds.

Huertas couldn't carry the offensive load by himself.

Sevilla surprises Barça

FC Barcelona was cold down south in their league match, losing handily at Sevilla by a final score of 85:74. This is Barça's second league defeat this season after a run of seven straight wins. Huertas and Tomic were top scorers for Catalans with 17 and 16 points. Boki scored 3 points and 2 rebounds in 13 minutes of action.

Barcelona was just to tired from playing 2 games in 36 hours.

Still unbeaten, domination in Poland

FC Barcelona crushed Turow Zgorzelec 65:104. Polish team was only able to stay close in 1st quarter. The remaining 30 minutes belonged to Barcelona. Boki was one of the key players, he started a scoring run and finished with 17 points in just 17 minutes. He was perfect from the field, making all 6 shots including 5 threes. Boki also had 4 rebounds and 2 assists.

Next game will be in Barcelona on Thursday against Fenerbahçe.

Boki was unstoppable against Turow.

Barcelona cruises past Murcia, reaches milestone.

FC Barcelona won against UCAM Murcia 90:70 in round 9 in Spanish ACB league. Boki played 18 minutes and scored 5 points. Barca was leading by 30 points during the 3rd quarter. With this win FC Barcelona reached 1000 wins in Spanish ACB league.

Barca escapes a thriller in Palau Blaugrana

FC Barcelona came back from a 14-point deficit to barely fend off EA7 Emporio Armani Milan 84-80 and remain undefeated in Group C of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague. Ante Tomic scored 18 points while Mario Hezonja had 13 points for Barcelona, which tops the group at 7-0. Boki played 8 minutes, scored 2 points and grabbed 1 rebound.

Barcelona will play on the road in round 8 as they face PGE Turow in Poland. 

Barcelona had 15 turnovers, but managed to win the game.
